Letter of Invitation

The African Union – Interafrican Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR) requests proposals from eligible firms for the Provision of Various Insurance Services to AU-IBAR Refer to detailed TORs in S.6 of the bid document.

Bidders are required to provide, but not limited to the following:

• Signed bid form
• Copies of valid business licenses and/certificate of incorporation showing legal status, date of registration and principal place of business. (For JV, each member must submit Tax Registration Certificate)
• Evidence of having performed similar type of Services
• Association of Kenya Insurers Certificate (AKI)
• Copy of Audited financial statements for the last 3 years
• Copy of Firms Insurance Policy
• Firm’s / institution’s profile
• Consultants CVs,
• Submission of a technical and financial proposal in the format provided in the bid document. (Technical and financial offers must be in two separate sealed envelopes)
• Signed AU Declaration Form (attached form)

A firm will be selected based on the evaluation criteria described in this RFP.

This is two envelope bidding. TECHNICAL AND FINANCIAL PROPOSALS SHOULD BE SEALED IN SEPARATE ENVELOPES.

The RFP includes the following documents:

• Section 1 - Letter of Invitation
• Section 2 - Information to Firms
• Section 3- Data sheet
• Section 4 - Technical Proposal - Standard Forms
• Section 5- Financial Proposal - Standard Forms
• Section 6 – Required Services

Proposals must be enclosed in two (2) separate folders, one with the Technical proposal and the other with the Financial proposal clearly marked “PROPOSALS FOR VARIOUS INSURANCE SERVICES TO AU-IBAR, Nairobi, Kenya – PROCUREMENT NO.IS/AU-IBAR/21 – ONLY TO BE OPENED BY THE OPENING COMMITTEE”. Late bids will be rejected.

In their financial proposals, (For the Vehicles cover), bidders should give the 2 options: “DUTY FREE” and “DUTY PAID
