Invitation for Bids 

The African Union Inter-African Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR) is a specialized technical office of the Department of Rural Economy and Agriculture (DREA) of the African Union Commission (AUC). AU-IBAR is mandated to support and coordinate the sustainable development and utilization of animal resources (livestock, fisheries and wildlife) to enhance nutrition and food security and contribute to the wellbeing and prosperity of the people in the Member State of the AU. AU-IBAR accomplishes its mandate through supporting and empowering the African Union Member States and the Regional Economic Communities (RECs). AU-IBAR’s vision is of an Africa in which animal resources contribute significantly to the reduction of poverty and hunger. Founded in 1951 to study the epidemiological situation and fight rinderpest in Africa, AU-IBAR’s mandate covers all aspects of animal resources, including livestock, fisheries and wildlife, across the entire African continent and  fills a unique and strategic niche by working at continental and regional levels, with the RECs being key partners. AU-IBAR has allocated funds for the procurement of the above mentioned Services and related activities, and now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Provision of unarmed security and CCTV Monitoring Services for AU-IBAR premises Nairobi, Kenya one (1) Year Running Contract with a possibility of renewal.

Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document at the address below between 09:00hours to 17:00 Hours. 
 
Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 15th October, 2021 at 15:00 hours local time. 

All bids must be accompanied by:

  1. A Signed bid Form.
  2. CVs & Qualification of Supervisors
  3. Evidence of Registration & Trading Certificate/License
  4. Evidence of having performed a similar types of tender (Services)

Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days and Bids will be opened on the 15th   October, 2021 at 15:30 hour Local Time in the presence of bidders or bidders’ representatives who choose to attend, at AU-IBAR office, Nairobi, Kenya and shall be delivered to the address below. Late bids will be rejected and returned unopened to bidders. 


NOTE
Should those who have already applied wish to resubmit their applications, they can collect their unopened applications at AU-IBAR gate and resubmit before the extended deadline. If they do not wish to collect, then no action is required.
